Spring in Korea!
« on: April 01, 2019, 02:42:12 PM »
Spring is definitely here, and it can be pretty striking.
I thought it might be nice to invite people to post some of their favourite (least favourite?) recent photos of their neighbourhoods.

Here are some of mine, all taken within a 10 minute walk of my apartment.

I agree that its cooler this than this same time last year. On the other hand, I think that the weather systems that are bringing us the chill are also responsible for keeping away the worst of the grime. It's a trade-off, I guess, but one that I'm more than willing to accept!
I mean, here are some pics I took last year in early April:

The early spring has been nice and warm, but the last couple of days there has been a really cold air that is ruining it haha.
Ahh wow, you can see the dust / pollution type stuff in the air in those photos. :o

The colder weather is keeping away the pollution.  Be grateful for it.  It will fluctuate in March and April anyways.  I think last year at this time was quite warmer than usual.

are you still here Frites?

The weather is decent but not decent enough to exercise outside without contracting some form of respiratory cancer.  :undecided:

there'll be chips for breakfast if I get hold of him or if he doesn't die of some respiratory cancer first.  no yolking around.

I don't know what you guys are so elated about. This is Spring in Korea.
Please note how it conveniently passes over the industrial belt to provide you with additional cultural flavourings and experiences. This one might be the 'look, everything is covered in yellow stuff' kind.

Tell her my Thursdays are usually free after midday. Also, please no scones from Paris Baguette.

That's the spirit! Ready to shell out some damage? I try not to be ovary obvious about it, but I'm pretty eggcited for the big event!

Sure, every silver lining has a dark cloud (of lung devouring smog), but why not choose to look on the bright side of life? I mean, you could be living in Eastern China right now.
Also, I wanted an excuse to share some fotos I recently took, so there's that.

And it came so quick after Dusty.

Don't worry, Sweaty Ballz season will be here soon. And let's not forget Rainy.

some student showed me their little paper book of new vocab with pictures they were learning (presumably from a hagwon?)

for the 4 seasons it said:

autumn
winter
dust
summer

felt like another teacher was trolling the poor kid, but it made me giggle either way
