This is a Hammer game that I redid from the old book. Thank you to the original creator.

The way I play it is a student gets the hammer, the entire class asks, "What's this?" and the student with the hammer chooses a picture saying, "It's a _____." If they get the cry face, they hit their hand, if they get the backside of Apeach, they hit their partner's hand, if they get the other Kakao character, they hit my hand. Some play the game by hitting on the head, but I don't because no matter how many times we told them not to hit hard, they would. So I now tell him it is like a high five.

If you change some of the photos, make sure you check it because the pictures are synced with the white squares behind them.

Here's a basic vocab introduction for the first lesson. Used in conjunction with the book and annataleen's hammer game (cheers for that, the kids loved it!)

Attached is a PPT for Lesson 2.

Also, a matching game I took from a different book and made it aimed towards this version of Daekyo.

Vocab words in the matching game: look, wow, cup, hat, doll, book, robot, ball, bus, apple

I'll likely put the students in groups of 3 or 4 for the matching game and have them decide together what cards they want to flip.

Period 3 - Phonics is my favorite lesson because there's a lot of game-potential. I did a Phonics Whisper Game -- it's essentially Telephone but with a phonics twist.

I used this video to show students how to play the four corner game, and used the vocabulary from the lesson. Good for listening practice, but the four corner game can also be speaking game if the teacher asks the students in the corner to say answer the question 'What this?' with the answer corresponding to their corner.

Here is my folder:

- Team Rocket Attack game (credit to taylerwithane for template) Have students say the objects in the " It's a _______" format. Added 4 new objects that my students should be familiar with (cat, dog, pencil, eraser).

- Pokemon Evolution (credit to the original creator) I simply edited the objects so that they matched with this chapter.

- What's that? Alphabet Guess (credit to original creator) Adapted to be used with this lesson. I also changed some of the letters around.
