Guys, let's stop with this topic. It's a road leading from nothing to nowhere.

I did one of these, but it was a troll post.

I believe you to be quite serious.

I can honestly say men have terrible bathroom hygiene and are hell of gross. I always see men coming out of bathroom stalls and then leaving without even washing their hands. And there's always brown water left in the bowl. Flushing a toilet isn't difficult.

I worked at 3 different movie theatres over 5 years. The women's bathrooms were always WAY more disgusting than the men's.

I don't usually rant ever but wtf I just saw the most disgusting thing ever. The staff bathroom stall had shit on the walls today. wtf is that about. I'm not talking about a tiny speck that might've some how flown up or maybe from sb's fingers. I'm talking like a cookie sized shit ON THE WALL at about hip level. What the **** angle do you have to shit at to get it on the wall like that?
To add on there were tiny specks of shit all over the floors too. I don't feel like I want to wear these shoes ever again.

I worked at a supermarket in NZ from high school, until after I graduated university and came to Korea - about 6 years ago, in the womens bathroom, someone managed to get diarrhea on the walls and roof in one of the stalls. I only know this, because a girl on my shift took a photo after seeing it (she wanted to show management that someone done something that disgusting) and showed us. >.<

Annoyed. They're installing an alarm system in all the housing and I was told I'd have to open my door but they just used a master key. Imagine my unpleasant surprise as I'm waiting for the installation people to arrive and a complete stranger just opens the door of his own accord. Not even a knock.

Now he's leaving the door wide open as he works, allowing any manner of bug to enter.

And he's in my bedroom as well. I wasn't told anyone would be in my bedroom. I would have tidied up a bit or at least put away my significant electronics had I known  >:( >:( >:(

I'm annoyed. It seems like the thread was deleted for no reason but why delete instead of just being like "Hey this is too long so we are gonna lock it. Start a new one."  Could it have been reported maybe? I dunno...

I don't buy the "maybe the thread got too long and deleted itself".

It was deleted.  By a moderator (oh, I wonder who).  No-one will admit to it.

Guys, relax. I asked Arsalan to delete my account and my posts because I felt like I had shared too much personal information and wasn't comfortable with it being on the internet. I had no idea in deleting my account, the threads I started would also be completely deleted instead of just my own posts in them.

I started the RANTING/VENTING MEGATHREAD 2.0 thread and it is gone because my account is gone. I'm sorry that all your posts were deleted, I didn't know that would happen. It's not some government conspiracy. The mods aren't out to get you. Your free speech is not being squashed. It's all good!

Jokes don't translate well in written form, especially when they're bad to begin with. I'm not actually genuinely upset over my post count; I'm just a little upset, but not in any meaningful way. :undecided:

My co-teacher is really cranky today. I understand it's because she's hot (temperature-wise...) so I don't really blame her, but it's putting me into a foul mood as well.

On the other hand, we are allowed to use the AC, so why isn't she using it?? I feel fine without it but if it's bad enough to make her so irritable, just turn the damn thing on. Good thing I have a light cardigan with me.

There is a standard romanization, but look at all the trouble people outside this culture still have pronouncing Korean words. Not everybody is aware of the standard romanization or Korean phonemes, so I would say that sometimes deviating from the standard is justified. Take the last name 최, for instance. Who in the West would ever see 'Choi' and automatically think, "Oh, 최"? They're going to say 'Choy' or 'Cho-ee'. In that case, why not experiment with 'Chay' or even 'Ché'? Still not perfect, but closer to it than you're going to get with the standard romanization in most cases. With 'ajumma' as well, someone might see it and not realize that the As require a long vowel sound. Look at the the Korean '안's in this country. How do they usually choose to transliterate it? 'An'? No way. You always see 'Ahn' because that signifies to the reader that you need to draw out the 'a' sound. That's a standard deviation (not a 'standard deviation') from the standard. Until the word 'ajumma' is ensconced in Webster's, I think it's fair to transliterate it in any way that most accurately conveys the true pronunciation. I, for one, would love to see the term 'ahjumma smash' added to the OED. ;D

'Waygook smash' as well^^

Romanisation standards don't apply to proper nouns (except, I believe, there is some regulation regarding company name registration after a certain date). With surnames, its almost standard to use McCune simply because its odd for a child to use a different system from their father or grandfather. It's literally grandfathered in. Like, 'literally' literally, not 'like, literally' literally.

For the Pokemon Go this article (http://www.dailygame.co.kr/view.php?ud=2016021817331309386) says they're not sure if it'll come out in Korea because releasing GPS info is illegal here..

So i get to watch all my friends play and show off on social media but I can't even play :(

Without all those little pesky diacritic marks, I imagine?

And what IS the word for when you want something to be understood as actually being true, without an ounce of exaggeration? There's gotta be a way to say it in one word. I'm literally drawing a blank here.
