Guys, let's stop with this topic. It's a road leading from nothing to nowhere.
I can honestly say men have terrible bathroom hygiene and are hell of gross. I always see men coming out of bathroom stalls and then leaving without even washing their hands. And there's always brown water left in the bowl. Flushing a toilet isn't difficult.
I don't usually rant ever but wtf I just saw the most disgusting thing ever. The staff bathroom stall had shit on the walls today. wtf is that about. I'm not talking about a tiny speck that might've some how flown up or maybe from sb's fingers. I'm talking like a cookie sized shit ON THE WALL at about hip level. What the **** angle do you have to shit at to get it on the wall like that?To add on there were tiny specks of shit all over the floors too. I don't feel like I want to wear these shoes ever again.
So annoyed that my post count got slashed. I'm genuinely upset.

Guys, relax. I asked Arsalan to delete my account and my posts because I felt like I had shared too much personal information and wasn't comfortable with it being on the internet. I had no idea in deleting my account, the threads I started would also be completely deleted instead of just my own posts in them. I started the RANTING/VENTING MEGATHREAD 2.0 thread and it is gone because my account is gone. I'm sorry that all your posts were deleted, I didn't know that would happen. It's not some government conspiracy. The mods aren't out to get you. Your free speech is not being squashed. It's all good!
There is a standard romanization, but look at all the trouble people outside this culture still have pronouncing Korean words. Not everybody is aware of the standard romanization or Korean phonemes, so I would say that sometimes deviating from the standard is justified. Take the last name 최, for instance. Who in the West would ever see 'Choi' and automatically think, "Oh, 최"? They're going to say 'Choy' or 'Cho-ee'. In that case, why not experiment with 'Chay' or even 'Ché'? Still not perfect, but closer to it than you're going to get with the standard romanization in most cases. With 'ajumma' as well, someone might see it and not realize that the As require a long vowel sound. Look at the the Korean '안's in this country. How do they usually choose to transliterate it? 'An'? No way. You always see 'Ahn' because that signifies to the reader that you need to draw out the 'a' sound. That's a standard deviation (not a 'standard deviation') from the standard. Until the word 'ajumma' is ensconced in Webster's, I think it's fair to transliterate it in any way that most accurately conveys the true pronunciation. I, for one, would love to see the term 'ahjumma smash' added to the OED. 'Waygook smash' as well^^
Romanisation standards don't apply to proper nouns (except, I believe, there is some regulation regarding company name registration after a certain date). With surnames, its almost standard to use McCune simply because its odd for a child to use a different system from their father or grandfather. It's literally grandfathered in. Like, 'literally' literally, not 'like, literally' literally.
