I never do any banking on my computer because those programs are dumb and I don't trust them. I do it all on my phone, which is totally rad and makes running to the ATM every time you want to send money look goofy.

But exercise is healthy!  How else will everyone know you are diligent about being healthy?

So I don't live in Seoul, but this weekend by best friend is coming to visit! He's just finished a North Korean tour so I really want him to have a nice time.

I know nothing about Seoul, I don't go there often (I'm an old...seoul ) but I know there must be things happening. Cool, interesting, fun things.

However whenever I search for "Things to do in Seoul" It's always the same old tired recommendations. "Go to the Trick Eye Museum!" Wow really. That's the best Seoul has...A run down picture taking place in Hongdae?

I just want to live like one of the cool city folk for a weekend.

Not sure your speed, pennypie, but HBCfest is this weekend, is it not?

It is either hit or miss.

Oooh googled it, Looks like my kind of thing but not his?

I like eating and drinking, in semi fancy but not too fancy places and I enjoy being able to sit down and get drunk and talk about life instead of standing like a pleb.

At the gym last night on the treadmill, when two women come in (well one woman and one girl) and got on the treadmills too. No problem with that, except that they get on the two treadmills as far from each other as possible, a few empty machines in between them, then carried on a long and very loud conversation. They were nearly yelling so they could be heard over the gym sounds and the distance.

Ughughughugh.

peasants. just like the PE teacher sitting opposite me in the teachers office who is slurping his ramyeon and chewing with his mouth so wide open that people in the building next door can probably hear it.

how is anyone supposed to think that koreans are actually civilized when this type of behavior happens on a daily basis?

the winter Olympics is really going to be a massive eye-opener for a lot of foreign visitors who come here.

EDIT: now that the ramyeon eating has finished the public burping has commenced. **** me ....

1-1 Sens vs Penguins. Go Sens.

Pittsburgh gets a power play with 8 mins left. They score.

2-1 Penguins.

There's 6 mins left now.

Ugh.

You must be working at my former school (doubt there is more than one PE teacher with that sort of behavior). ;)

I had a window on my second monitor during class just showing me the NHL homepage. The page refreshes every 30 seconds or so. Very stressful class. ahahahha

I've been asked to make a reading test for my Gr.3's (elementary). I can only use vocabularly from one lesson chapter. I make the test and show it to my CT's.  They claim the words "up" and "down" are too difficult and ask me to remake the test using nouns.  So I remake the test with "book", "melon" etc.  Again, too difficult.  I ask if they want me to just use the letters and make it more of a phonics quiz.  Nope, that's not allowed because the curriculum demands a reading test.
Somehow I have to make a reading test that doesn't use any words.

And............. It's over. Another year without the cup in Canada.  Hey who knows, maybe PK will bring the cup to Montreal when he wins.

***Public service announcement*** We are approaching page 300 on this thread, which is, I believe close to the upper limit allotted for thread lengths. Screen cap everything if you want to preserve other people's misery for posterity, 'cause it may all vanish soon just like its previous iterations!

Like all the best apocalyptic prophecies, this one was ahead of its time. Perhaps 500 pages, then?

and since I'm mining the archive....

I was out eating dinner with my bf and I dropped my fork and quickly picked it up and kept using it. My bf snickered and mentioned something about Americans and the 5 second rule.
I used to get comments like this all the time (I'm clumsy). Now, I just immediately go on and on and on about the 'hygiene hypothesis' and how overly sterile environments can lead to all sorts of auto-immune disorders such as allergies and asthma and blablabla. I'm not entirely convinced all of it is true but it does tend to prevent people from commenting the next time I inevitably drop something.

I’m a Doctor. If I Drop Food on the Kitchen Floor, I Still Eat It.

Even if you don't believe all the blah blah about overly sterile environments, you might at least rest assured that the floor is probably cleaner than a lot of other things you've touched.

And since I'm on a kyndo post kick...
