This weather is very gloomy and creates an atmosphere of impending doom.
I bought a bunch of fresh cheese and was going to use it tonight for dinner, but now the weather is making me just want a big pot of hot ramen.

At least the rain is washing the air pollution out of the sky.

Ramen is terrible for health. I'd avoid completely if I were you.

You could also try putting cheese in your ramen.  Personally I think it's weird but I've known some 'muricans who fly like that.

I usually do and only partake a few times a year, but now my craving has stuck. Or indian curry...

Edit @yirj: I actually like the cheese too, but I bought fresh mozzarella and hickory smoked cheese, so that won't quite work.

I've got some shit going on back home so everything is exacerbated by that BUT:

Review time is the worst. I usually do a game the whole period and, of course, little more than half bother to listen/participate. And if whiteboards are involved it's constant TEACHER TEACHER TEACHER and some kids act personally slighted because I don't have 8 eyes.

The screaming. My god, the screaming.

The mocking. For the most part, this doesn't bother me because I can tell they're trying to model the way I say something and/or find it innocuously funny. But sometimes it feels straight up rude.

The old codger who thinks it's totes cool to pop headphones in and snore loudly after lunch as if he's not sharing an office with 15 other people.

I'm not even trying to put on a face today. If I hear "You don't look so good" or something in that vein I may scream.

 >:(

Ooo yeah that'd be a weird medley of flavors.  Still, maybe you could have melted cheese in some fashion.  Could be nice, given this blargh weather.

What would pair well with hickory smoked nachos...?

Chili??? I have no idea actually.  That kind of cheese just makes me think of crackers and summer sausage

Add syrup with that cheese in your ramen, might balance out the medley.

That's how my brother does it. To this day I still don't know what gave him the idea to begin with, but he's been pretty loyal to it since forever.

Like maple syrup?? That sounds so... odd.

Yes, that would be it. I've been trying to get him to change it up with something like honey or whatever, but he says that that "would never work." \_(ツ)_/

You could also try putting cheese in your ramen.  Personally I think it's weird but I've known some 'muricans who fly like that.

They sell cheese ramen at some of the 분식 places too, it's not an American thing and actually pretty normal. You can also buy cheese ramen at the store...

I've never seen cheese ramen at the store but I don't doubt it's a thing.  Though I do wonder how long it's been around.  My only experience has been seeing people put shredded cheese on top o' their ramen back home.  Back home people put cheese on e'erything.

Something about prepackaged cheese ramen sounds ultimately unappetizing.

Hold up.  I've been imagining kimchi ramen with cheese (which I think would be gross).

What kind of broth are we talking?  I could see cheesy ramen with like beef or chicken broth base, but not kimchi broth.  Blurk

Also, hell yeah throw in green onions and egg into ramen.  Also, minced garlic~

Are the packaged ones with the ramen spicy broth too? I've never had it, only seen the package and it looks like it's not spicy.

I'm cheeseist tho and prefer western cheese and western fake powder cheese impostor to Korean sweet cheesy powder abominations. I can deal with cheese chunks in kimbap place "cheese ramen" but I thought it was just cheesy for the packaged ones.

It's kinda weird that you haven't seen it, yirj17. Maybe I just pay more attention to the ramen section than most and I'm projecting.

At restaurants:

In stores:

Perfectly commonplace. Definitely not just an American thing. I've seen it far more here than I ever did back home.
