I'm grumpy. Overreacting. Maybe I need a snickers.

When I got my health coverage I was given this pamphlet like book to take with me when I go to the doctors. That also shouldn't matter. I used to take that book with me but then eventually I stopped and just giving them your ARC number is sufficient since it's tied to your ARC number, anyways. That dentist sounds like they were just trying to rip you off.

I am SO disappointed in Iron Fist.I didn't pay any attention to the bad reviews it got, I just knew that critics didn't like it... but I don't really care when it comes to superhero shows/movies. I just like what I like, so I gave it a fair chance! However, it is REALLY painful. None of Netflix's Marvel shows have been perfect, I mean, the second half of Luke Cage was painful and Jessica Jones/Daredevil all have things they can improve on, but I still liked those shows and those characters. Iron Fist, however, has 0 charm and I could not care less about the story. In fact, I kind of actually dislike the main character. He acts like a pre-teen half the time and the actor has 0 presence on screen. How am I supposed to really believe this guy punched a dragon in the heart when he gets nearly bested in most of his fights with mere mortals? His girlfriend is a more impressive fighter than he is, but I gagged during their sex scene. Not to mention the guy is just straight up ugly. I mean, his hair is AWFUL. Yellow ramen curls COME ON. Not charming, ugly, bad fighter, bad actor... I mean, I know he's supposed to be a normal person who happens to have this power, but even when he's on his superhero shit he has ZERO superhero swag. His fist power is so lame with no personality to back it up.The other actors suck too. I was so distracted by Ward's weird and stiff dialogue delivery in the first couple of episodes but at least his character is getting more interesting. Can't say the same for the actual main hero though. What were they THINKING hiring Finn Jones? I liked him well enough as Loras, but someone with an actual personality would have been nice. Oh and someone a little bit easier on the eyes. This guy can't even pull off the beard.
Daredevil S2 had a lot more schlock than S1, but still, likeable characters, well shot, and mostly fun. Not as good as the first season, but yeah.

On the subject of pollution/dust/coughing/dying.I have an app on my phone that is supposed to tell me the yellow dust levels. It keep giving me really low numbers despite my increased feeling of toxic death coming on.Is there a truly decent app for this? Or should I just carry my masks, asthma pump, anti allergy around all the time (I hate carrying extra crap in my bag).
****Urgent update on Waygook Dentist Visit 2017****I'm getting a refund. Of course the excuse given was "computer issues."
Speaking of the random trends that catch on here... does anyone know how that Taiwanese castella places became so popular, or what started that one? When I got back from my vacation in February, there were about 2 per block in my area and surrounding. Now they are already going out of business and moving on to the next thing.

I don't have the heart to tell them otherwise.

Oh and someone a little bit easier on the eyes. This guy can't even pull off the beard. This doesn't bode well.I loved Daredevil S1 and thought it was genuinely well shot, written, and acted, and all the characters were nice to look at in their own way. Jessica Jones had some bizarre pacing, and there were times when I was watching it that I thought "This is pretty ehhhhh," but after finishing it, looking at it as a whole, it was really good. You're spot on with the second half of Luke Cage being awful. I stopped caring about anything that happened and just binged as hard as I could to get it over with.Daredevil S2 had a lot more schlock than S1, but still, likeable characters, well shot, and mostly fun. Not as good as the first season, but yeah.I saw a trailer for Iron Fist at the theater before I saw Logan (Netflix advertises in theatres - crafty), and I was kind of like... this looks bad and I don't want to look at this lead character.

I don't have the heart to tell them otherwise.Well, Portugal if you want to get 시발.So as far as I can tell it all started with 대왕카스테라 and the others are just copying the trend. I think the original appeal was it's supposed to be lighter and much cheaper than other castella. I've actually tried it and its nice enough but nothing special. Which is probably why the trend died so quickly. My partner also told me that the original Taiwanese castella was rumored to be super super super cheap so that drove people there, but then they found out that it was more expensive here so the excitement dimmed a little. Now a few of those castella places have changed into Japanese fluffy cheesecake places in my hood so maybe that's the next thing. Not complaining though, cake is cake
Be forewarned, that Japanese cheesecake is more like a light cake with cheesecake flavor, nothing like the creamy cheesecake one might be more accustomed to. I enjoy both but I've heard a lot of people are disappointed due to their expectations of a more western style cheesecake.

I've wanted to try it ever since I saw that video of the famous Japanese cheesecake place in Osaka where the guy makes the super light wiggly cakes.
