That sounds quite a fun and easy prep game! Just need a random timer set up. Probably could set up a ppt to do it. Thanks.
My co-teacher is driving me nuts. She comes into my room every 10-15 minutes to show me / confirm stuff I already told her a million times. It's nothing complicated at all... I really hate having to hand-hold people through things they should really know how to do.
With parties, one needs to know the platform, party history, and the direction the party wants the country to go with respect to dozens and dozens of different issues. Single issue referendums would only require knowledge of the issue at hand.
with parties you only need a vague idea of their stance on key issues because there's like a 0.01% chance that theyre going to do anything/get any of it into legislation, lol. single issue referendums are going directly into effect. even if you need more political literacy to make an informed decision on a party, having that political literacy is less important. even if we assume the referendum is on something relatively simple, having that smaller amount of political literacy is more important.
So less required, but more important to actually have that basic knowledge. Yeah, that sounds about right.Maybe have a mini quiz at the beginning of the actual voting, so verify that the voter understands the issue they're voting on. I feel that with enough accessibility options for the handicapped, and with the questions strictly limited to those most relevant to background knowledge of the topic at hand, it could be possible to do it without being discriminatory or biased.
i think there definitely is, and i'm not opposed to political referendums as long as there's some sort of quality control when it comes to the voterbase. this wasn't so much an issue when they were drafting the constitution because blue collar voters were reasonably politically literate. of course this was back when reading was the primary form of entertainment and listening to debates was an important social event, and before tv and the radio reduced political messaging to bite-sized slogans. unfortunately i dont think referendums will ever come to pass. even if there were a reasonable way to conduct them, no party on the left or right would agree with it (the left would call it too restrictive, the right would claim the opposite, both would call for an investigation whenever their side lost, etc). and while i am thinking mainly in the context of american politics here, i would hazard to guess that its much the same in any country with an entrenched political class
YOU ARE BOTH FOOLS. Monarchy or bust!

It's all done for you. It's called Bad Luck Billy and it's from Tay's Toolkit. Some teacher (presumably named Tay) who put up a link in the lesson plans to a bunch of great ppts. she made. www.taysteachingtoo lkit.comLots of great stuff there.
Monarchy or bust!
Marti, the shite you gave me after I posted (somewhat jokingly) about supporting the British Monarchy, and here you are joking about it as well. Huh, go figure! Makes me wonder...?

After Queen E, they can all go to the moon for all I care.
What makes the current queen special?
And I somewhat jokingly pointed out how your Empire is done, your country a has-been, that you don't 'Rule the Waves' anymore and that your precious football clubs are all getting colonized by Americans and Arabs.
