So a shitstorm that's been brewing for a few months has finally made landfall. I didn't expect it to hit until next year, but I didn't factor in possible mental illness, so now I'm just sitting here, doing my best not to say "I told you so" because I don't have any advise left to give and it's kind of too late for that now anyway, lol. Read the warnings signs, people, stop underestimating crazy. You'll always get blindsided.Meanwhile, I'm just trying to do my best not to get dragged into it. But I feel like it's going to happen because of course it will.

This has been annoying me for a while. About four years ago in my city, there was a lovely natural area around the mountain. At the foot of the mountain, someone got permission to build a big area of detached houses with gardens etc, and they would have cost around 5-6억. All the plans looked nice. So they went about clearing this area of trees and everything to do with nature. Took about 6 months to flatten the whole area. Kind of annoying, really. Then nothing happened for a year. I notice all this, as I was hiking here almost every day so can see how it's going. Then they spent six months putting in roads and street lights, traffic lights, sewage pipes and stuff. Okay. Then nothing happened for another year which strange at the time. Then they did a couple of months of tidying up, as it had got overgrown a bit. Then nothing, which brings us up to now. When I was talking to my co-teacher last week, she said that the company had gone bust and nothing will happen with this area. So it's just going to sit there, with streets, lights, and no fooking houses when previously it had been a lovely natural area at the foot of the mountain. Why not make sure a company can see through a project like this before letting them flatten the area and cut down the trees? I know there is the stupid thing here of selling the houses before they build them, but surely you can make sure they're not going to go bust and ruin the area. If it was some crappy brownfield site, then i don't care. But don't hit the natural bits.
Anyone who has been to Anyang station can marvel at the unfinished frame of probably an 8-10 storey building that has been there for at least 14 years.

What a hulking piece of crap.
My gf surprised me with some airpods for my birthday (this isn't the rant by the way haha). I'd been using some cheap rip off ones from Electromart that worked ok but would regularly cut out and drop the signal depending on where my phone was or even if I turned my head.Obviously over the moon to upgrade to airpods. Turns out they actually perform on par or slightly worse than the Chinese knock offs! If I'm not holding my phone directly in front of me then the sound cracks and cuts out. Can't even carry my phone in my pocket because it just disrupts the signal.I'm using an Android phone but surely I should be able to listen to music with my phone in my pocket. Anyone else experience this?

The last great thing Apple made was the iPod Shuffle and before they discontinued them in 2017, to encourage people to buy the ridiculous Apple watch, I bought 3 shuffles and use them as my music solution for gym and the track.
northstar. i have an ipod shuffle i bought years ago which has been sitting in my drawer doing nothing. i'm 90% it still works fine, so i'll check it does.. but i'll post it to you for free if you want it.
I was on the fence about airpods for a long time, then my Mrs got me some for my birthday. Incredible. No problems at all. Perfect for bike rides/walking to school/watching the Premier League footy when she is sleeping at 2am.If they are cutting out it means battery low, they shouldn't be cutting out with your phone in your pocket either.
Toxic smog is expected to blight Korea's Christmas, with fine-dust pollution at unhealthy levels over the festive season.http://english.chosun.com/m/svc/article.html?contid=2019122301409
