I will not renew my contract and it feels great.
I have the next several months to work out my grad school application. Next month I will visit Thailand. The rest of the time here I will give approximately 0 f***s about anything work related.

Any other waygooks here that started in March and already know they're not resigning? What are your plans for next year?

I'm not resigning and I'm terrified lol. I already went to grad school and coming here was me putting off getting a really adulty adult job so I need to brush up on my computer skills and apply to all sorts of scary adult jobs with scary adult interviews...gah! But I can't stay here. Pay's not high enough and I have other things to do with my life lol.

The 5th graders loved the Zombie game (or Joombie as my co says), we found a way to get the movie to work in 6th grade, and summer camp plans are all solidified. I've never taught 1st and 2nd graders before, and I'm sure it will be challenging, but I am looking forward to summer camp and the lack of textbooks. 

Walked into a hallway and a girl from the 3rd grade class runs up to me and gives me a big hug. 

They set up a booth for the third graders to get facepainted or handpainted and they asked me if I wanted to help and it was a ton of fun and a great break from a normal dull afternoon.   

My school turned the air conditioner on today and I cried literal tears of relief.

I'm not sure what sins Lotte is atoning for by offering free bike repair service on the grounds near their new super tower -- perhaps just to make amends for blighting the local scenery with construction for years on end -- but when I go in there with my gear wire snapped, I wait all of 10 minutes to have my moment with one of the repairmen, he takes another 10 minutes to replace the wire and adjust the gears, and I get charged all of 1,100 원. Strictly for the parts. The repairman even make the effort to tell me the amount in English. (I made sure to tell him, "우와, 영어 잘 하시네요!" ) Sometimes service is truly exceptional here, but never when you might expect it.

Hmm. I have a Samsung and got poke go from the play app store. Maybe it's not yet available for iphone (is your phone Korean?)? Or maybe it has something to do with my google account (made back home in the US). It only just became available today for me (wasn't there yesterday), so hopefully it's only a matter of time for you!

Otherwise I'm sure people will quickly make a work around...

Hmm. I have a Samsung and got poke go from the play app store. Maybe it's not yet available for iphone (is your phone Korean?)? Or maybe it has something to do with my google account (made back home in the US). It only just became available today for me (wasn't there yesterday), so hopefully it's only a matter of time for you!

My phone is Korean so maybe its not out on the Korean itunes store yet

I have an Iphone and I know sometimes I have toggle between the Korean Iphone store and the American one to find the items I want. But when I want something only found in the Korean store, I end up using my girlfriend's account.  You may not have one of those...
