I could not agree more!  I posted this video once before:

That paragraph at the end of the film where the narrator summarized the direction of the lives of the kids while the video is showing them walking along the railgrade is, for me, one of the most tragic moments in film. The combination of wasted potential, loss of innocence, crushed dreams of youth, and the narrator's sad nostalgia kills me every time I think of the film.

Any movie that can evoke emotions like that definitely did something right.

I've been playing with chatgpt all morning and it has been hilarious.

Yeah, I've been looking to try out chatgpt and maybe even dabble in some A.I.art, but haven't yet found the time for it. Can it pass as normal online conversation, or is it wonky straight from the get go?

He started posting again last week after quite a break...6 weeks or more maybe. Probably a combination of holidays and a spat with a few posters.

I wonder where he went on vacation...he was asking for ideas but never got back to us on where he headed or what he did. Hmmm!

I don't think it's too wonky, but it's very formal in it's replies. It's probably somewhere in the middle based on my experience with it.
If you get it to write stories, they'll have generic names and stuff too, like I asked it to write a story about a cactus, and it used the name spike. It used Venus for a venus fly trap, rose for a rose, etc.

I'm fond of fractal art. I think my mission on chatgpt would be to see if I can trap it in endless recursion.

Also, if you ask it to tell you a story, it usually starts them all with once upon a time.

The powers that be un-modded somebody (at that person's request, I think), but didn't find a replacement despite several people having been willing. A bit frustrating.

I had a tax assessment for about 330 000 won in January.  I didn't sign and as my co-t had already decided her job finished at the end of winter camp she was useless.  At play for the second time in seven years was whether my rent counts as income and a retro tax had been levied.  I did the same thing I did five years ago, which was submit my lease info and print out my monthly rent payments all year to the person on the lease for the amount agreed upon.  It was important to prove none of this money went to me and that the rent stipend that is paid separately is used for rent in its entirety.  Nothing goes in my pocket.  Anyways, that was in January and as a nice surprise last week on the same day I paid my ren,t I had just under 550,000 dropped into my account.  If I had just signed and submitted the documents my co had been pushing on me I would have paid a few hundred thousand.  Now, I basically just had my rent plus a tip returned to me. 

Not a lot of money but a nice feeling, nonetheless.  Co-Ts don't always know best.

Well, nothing at this time.  But it was kind of nice paying 500K in rent in the morning and a few hours later getting 549,000 dropped back in my account. Even Steven.

I get raving happy when I get these noodles.  Pretty good for noodles.  Kind of pricey but works out to 2900 for each one.  But given how much Korean noodles are going up to, might as well try these just for something different.  Made by Nissan but different from their cheap cup noodles.

Dude orders from Japan so takes a while to get them.  Anyways, I recommend. 

I found a new sandwich place (I don't remember the name but it started with an "S" and wasn't Sandwich Place) in a Lotte Mall in Suji yesterday.  Their sandwiches were made with meat from Salt House and their pastrami was the best I've had in Korea.  It was a bit dry so I'm guessing it would be a little better up at an actual Salt House in Seoul, but it had good flavour.
