Fair enough. Are you sure about that 250 million market value? That would be a terrible return for your landlord. Not even 3% which is very very low return on a real estate. Anyways, it's not my business. I just find those figures very odd.
This summer I'm seeing John Cale, Thom Yorke and The 1975 in concert. Hoping Muse swings by soon. Yeaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhh
The Thom Yorke tickets were selling really slowly. I was surprised.

Yeah, I got mine right when they opened.
in our most recent lesson, i told our students that in america, unless you are in a flea market (or some type of bargaining situation), you can't really bargain in stores. like, you can't ask someone from Trader Joe's for a discount.so later, we played a game and the teams had to tell me which expression that we learned in class isn't actually used in America, which is "can i get a discount?"one student immediately screams: F*** YOU!!!me & the korean teacher:.....*dumbfounded at what just happenedstudent: yeah! you can't say it in America!!me: ....omg... i'm talking about what we LEARNED in CLASSSSSSSSSSSslolhe was way too eager to say that ;)
Whenever i go into Paris Baguette after 5pm they are all sold out of 90% of stock. The shelves are mostly empty. I can't get a loaf of bread or maybe a snack i am looking for. Same at Tous le Vous. What's the point of staying open to 10pm if you sell out of most stock by 5pm? I understand that maybe they only have a baker in once a day in the morning to bake but if selling out seems to be a regular occurrence then surely you could make a bit more bread. It's actually quite difficult for me to get a loaf during the week because they are not open a 7am before work and then by 5:30 they are usually sold out.

Beverages are their best selling and highest profit margin items. And lots of people drink coffee or go sit in a cafe and chat in the evening.
It amazes me how much the Korean cafe bakery chains' coffee has improved over the years. It's still pretty bad. But it's like, drinkable? Back in the day, it was literally just flavourless brown water.
A couple of the Korean teachers just said "Oh shit!" when the wind went really crazy just now.It made me chuckle haha.
Loving the weather today. I haven't jogged outdoors in a while. If the air stays as "clean" as it is right now, I might give it a go tonight.Quote from: #basedcowboyshirt on May 23, 2019, 10:24:54 amIt amazes me how much the Korean cafe bakery chains' coffee has improved over the years. Which ones have you tried recently to bring about this new observation?Quote from: Kayos on May 27, 2019, 09:11:22 amA couple of the Korean teachers just said "Oh shit!" when the wind went really crazy just now.It made me chuckle haha.I only ever hear students say this while in my classroom whenever they're trying to get a reaction out of me, lol. Would be a nice change of pace to hear some adults say it just because they want me me to hear them say it. I'd feel so included. xD
Going to have to start calling you Roni!
