On the weekend, I was around Seoul. I got one of those cute rabbit hats, where the ears move when you squeeze the paw/s.And had such a fun day wearing it haha. I met a couple other foreigners wearing one, we basically just said cool hat to each other, and done the ears thing a bit; Done the same thing with a Korean guy in his 20s; And in general, people looking unhappy / angry, started laughing and cheering up, just from seeing me play with the hat. A big group of high school looking kids, came up to me, and told me I was super cute (because of the hat), and asked to take a photo with me. I got to talk to a couple from Japan because they thought the hat was awesome too. It was just a nice day, and seemed to spread positivity to others :D

This student is a high school senior that isn't actually in any of my classes. She still waves at me in the hallways with her hands above her head like bunny ears!

I think it's insanely cute, and it gives me a chance to speak with more of the students. It's a cute, fun way to connect with them.
For the first time ever I experienced a Korean grading their language in a natural environment. What a wonderful, wonderful experience that was. I could have kissed them!Whenever my coworkers egg me on to speak Korean, none of them grade their language or slow down at all so usually the conversation is over before it's begun because I have no idea what they've said.So major kudos to this teacher who spoke slowly, enunciated clearly and used simple 요 forms!!
Ah yeah, this thread got resurrected! I was thinking I have some reasons to be happy. 1) Working on my youtube channel2) Eating a lot healthier and drinking a lot less3) Just feel good generally4) Met a really nice girl and things are going super well. It's Friday and I'm seeing 3 movies this weekend in theatres; Brokeback, Spiderman and Blue is the Warmest Colour. It's coincidental that I'm seeing two of the most important LGBT films ever made. hahahahaha
I was driving today and it seemed way better than usual. Didn't notice nearly as much idiotic and downright a..hole moves like you see here on the roads all the time. And that is when I remembered; there was a big protest and strike by taxi drivers because of the new kakao carpooling service. I kid you not, the difference was just astonishing. Here is hoping for more protests and strikes.
I can't begin to tell you how HAPPY I am that I'm back at school!! I caught flu a week ago last Friday, thought I'd be better by the Monday. Nope! Still sick as Hell on Monday but worked anyway. Came into work Tuesday only to be told that my CoTs ratted me out to the main teacher that I was really sick. Was forced to go to the clinic (forced meaning guilted) and was sent home with a 5 day ban from school. I've never been so damn bored in my life! I don't fell 100% but I don't think I could take another day of being stuck in my apartment. YAY FOR BEING BACK AT WORK!!! and I missed the HELL outta my kids!

If you have flu, you shouldn't be around other people, especially kids. It's a highly contagious and potentially fatal illness.

If you were my co-worker and wouldn't want you to be anywhere near me. Let alone around children.
