Turkey, Saudi Arabia poised to invade Syria
« on: February 26, 2016, 01:26:07 pm »
unprecedented and dangerous escalation.

Quote
On Saturday, Turkish and Saudi officials confirmed that they plan to begin bombing and launch a ground invasion of Syria. “Turkey and Saudi Arabia may launch an operation from the land,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told Yeni Safak, adding that Saudi Arabia is “ready to send both jets and troops” to Incirlik air base in Turkey.

Washington has given these operations its blessing, though they threaten to unleash a war that could engulf the entire Middle East and escalate into world war. US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said Friday that he expected commandos from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to invade Syria. Carter claimed they would attack the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS); however, Turkey and Saudi Arabia support Sunni Islamist forces in Syria like ISIS, and their aim would be to destroy Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

Quote
Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev had already warned that Saudi ground operations could provoke a “new world war.” He told Handelsblatt, “A ground operation draws everyone taking part in it into a war... The Americans and our Arab partners must consider whether or not they want a permanent war.”

As Russian bombings and Syrian offensives threaten to retake the city of Aleppo from the opposition, NATO and its allies are signaling that they are willing to launch staggeringly reckless escalations to ensure the defeat of Assad and Moscow. The main MSC panel Saturday erupted into arguments over Syria as Kerry and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls attacked Russia, warning that NATO would not allow its Islamist proxies to be beaten.

that was on Saturday - the latest news is Putin is now actively working on REAL ceasefire.  He's been calling some peeps from SA, USA and such.  Up until now, only his underlings have been making magic stuff happen - but now he's involved.

All the recent news in regards to Syria are about ceasefire that will kick off this Friday - and NOT some sort of escalation

The best way to search for news - the most recent news is to type syria in google and click on news tab - all of the most recent headlines will be there

It's nice to see them finally dealing with their own problems.

At least its better to let Russia sort out the problem rather than Washington.

Because Moscows intervention doesn't produce failed states and mushrooming terrorist organizations.

Chechnya was where America backed muslim terrorists to cause trouble for Russia in the same way they did with e.g. Afghanistan.

The US/globalists game of world domination means financing wars along Russias borders to destabilize and weaken Russia.

Please enlighten us again, as to why you as an American expect to be "treated well" in Russia?

Mayorhaggar - we all know you are trolling, but before you carry on, at least learn how to troll properly.

Have a good weekend.

I'm the one trolling, and you guys are the ones exhibiting every feature of Russians paid a few rubles to troll the internet? OK.

I'm not sure you guys realize how much you stand out, posting weirdly-written posts in defense of anything related to Russia on a website dedicated to English teachers in Korea.

Like nespeaker, who claimed to live in Korea while also claiming to live in an actual house with an actual yard.

Considering that your messages comprise of Soviet Union anthem youtube links and just plain 'you are a russian paid troll' replies - it seems as if you might be better off venturing to the Russian trolling school, because apparently they are much better at it.  In fact, if you were to work there, I suspect you'd be fined and/or fired a long time ago.

Read the article - you'll note that they are trolling the Russian internet IN Russian - they also have editors checking their comments, and are fined for copy-pasting (so again, you would have been fired via Trump style).

So, yes, my advice is: hire an editor - or perhaps go back to school?

Good luck.

Coming out of the woodwork to defend Russia and using bad grammar and weird sentence patterns is not a good way to convince anyone you're not a Russian sock puppet.

Ball's in your court, comrades.

You wouldn't have to be paid in order to detect the anti-Russian bias and hypocrisy in the western media. You just need to have eyes.

I'm not saying Russia is perfect, but the US-Russia relationship could have been so much different. It was supposed to be so much better. But Washington is too full of their world -domination agenda to be able to have equal relationships with any other country.

Did you know that immediately after 9/11,  flags across Russia were flown at half mast? In sympathy to the US.

If Clinton gets elected - we could be looking at a new reset - of the whole world as we know it ;)

Here is an interesting piece of news - http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-02-26/caught-tape-us-test-fires-nuclear-icbm-warns-we-are-prepared-use-nuclear-weapons

What's interesting is the rhetoric that went along with this test.  A cold war that is getting a little bit hotter.  Obama's administration is keen on creating so many world war scenarios for the next administration that it's not even funny. The scariest part is, the leading presidential candidates appear to be happy to oblige.

Obama can't control the neo-cons, they have totally infiltrated the system. Which is why things are getting more reckless, because there is nothing to oppose them.

Totally not off topic:
Actually, it's not that unusual for people planning on staying for longer periods of time to have decent housing, especially in the more rural areas.
I know of several couples who own their own houses here, and have their own (tiny) yards. Gonna be visiting one of them this Friday for a good ol' braai.
