Non native teachers with F6 visa?
« on: February 13, 2016, 10:36:53 am »
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a non native F6 visa holder teaching English in Korea?

Me and my wife (Korean) just moved to Pyeongtaek from the UK and now I'm looking for a job, however I'm not quite sure if searching for a teaching job would be just waste of my time?

Legally it shouldn't be a problem but would any hagwon / kindergarten hire a non native even as an assistant?

I'm a white European male, done my bachelor's and master's degrees in Finland and used to work several years in the UK before coming here.

Thanks for any advice.

You can definitely find work.  The requirement for the E2 stipulates that the person has to be from an English speaking country.  Since you have a F visa you can circumvent that garbage.  You said you're white? You're 95% there.
