Pre wedding photo shoot prices?
« on: January 23, 2016, 07:02:03 pm »
Hello all,

I am wondering, to those married or engaged, how much did you pay for your pre wedding photo shoot? Also, would anyone know of budget wedding photo shoots?

Thank you!

If money is a problem you could buy a selfie stick.

They typically start at around 1 million won or so. We did ours for much cheaper after getting a discount off of coupang or some place like that.

Couple of things to keep in mind that if you go with a Korean photographer then they are going to be Korean style. That means make-up, air-brushing and possibly teddy bears.

There are a ton of local expat photographers that can do a great job for a good price. Check the local photo clubs on facebook for more info

I lived in a country-city (Seosan).  My wife and I found a place.  We did it at a studio.  I think for one change of clothes it cost 350,000 Won and to add an extra 150,000.  So, we got pictures done in Western style and traditional Korean hanbok style for 450,000 (or 500,000).  It was no where near a million.   We got one big picture and two smaller ones.

What I would do, if you aren't too picky, is find a local, mom and pop, place.  I wish I knew the name of the place I went to because they were awesome.  Don't go to a big city like Seoul if you are on a budget!  Then, have it done at a studio.  If they do it outside that will cost a lot and may require you to use your own clothes.

If you are a foreigner male, usually they will leave you alone.  They did for me.  I told them no (through my wife).  My wife, who is Korean, did the whole Korean style.  They do work with you, based on what you want.

I highly recommend this guy.  Prices are (I thought) reasonable. He did our wedding, we were very happy with him and everyone else loved the results too.  Really nice guy, Australian expat and fluent in Korean.

I didn't see any prices on his website. Did you go with the basic package? Either way, how much did you end up paying?

Oh yeh, I forgot, prices aren't on the site, he emailed his pricelist when I asked for it.  We went with a medium package, 200 odd shots of mid-high res and I think it was around the 600k mark for a few hours of shooting.  Don't quote me on that, email him and he should send you the pricelist quite quickly.

I just engagement photos done in November and recommend Jeong Yi. He's Korean American and speaks fluent english. His photos are amazing and we had such a fun and relaxed shoot. I don't have a price list at the moment, but I think we paid $750 for 3 hours and ended up being around 250 photos and 25 retouched. He's great.
