In my quest to re-read everything Peter F. Hamilton has written in chronological order, I'm up to Pandora's Star which I first read back around when it came out. It's still good the second time through, though Hamilton loses some of his punch on re-read.

I am waiting for the books he writing that take place between Judas unchained and the the void books.

Yeah, the first one of those already came out. I'm hoping the second (and presumably last, there was talk of trilogy, then it became two books, but who knows?) one is out before I finished up the Void Trilogy. I probably won't read The Great North Road again right now since I first read it not that ago and there are other things I want to get around to reading.

I finished Please Look After Mom a few days ago. It was quick and easy reading, but way too sappy.

Just finished R.W Johnson's new book "How Long Will South Africa Survive The Looming Crisis",
a very informative read on the direction South African politics is taking the nation.

My copy of Nien Cheng's "Life and Death in Shanghai", can't wait to start.

Reading Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel (actually, listening, because it's an audio book). So far, pretty good- fits well with the MERS scare that was going around.  :P

Just finished reading The Gunslinger, the first book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series.

Apart from being a surprisingly good book, it also contains the only foreword that I've felt was actually worth reading (I usually just skip them).

Now reading The Mammoth book of Steampunk, a collection of short stories.

I'm two books deep into my first A Song of Ice and Fire re-read. Just as gut-wrenching, if not more, than the first.
