I am reading True Blue by David Baldacci at the moment. Does anyone know a great place to buy English books in Seoul?  :)

That would be What the Book, in Itaewon.  You can also order online with (I believe) free shipping within Korea.

it is indeed free ship with WTB within Korea, even if they have to get it from the US.

I believe the free shipping requires a minimun of 25,000 won for your purchase. That's usually really easy to reach though.

Though I completed the series, I must admit they were a little torpid.

I'm not a big fiction guy.  Most of it is pointless drivel with stories and characters intended to stretch the boundaries of language.  Except for a few classics that is.  Writers of this medium make money on trying their hardest to pen reality while bending realism.

Not a big reader, either.  Most of my reading was done for coursework or because I had to.  However, I do get into biographies.  I've read Isaacson's 'Benjamin Franklin' and Bush's memoire 'Decision Point' where he makes himself out to be a martyr.   Might be a great read as the anniversary of 9/11 approaches.

I just finished reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett, currently it's the #1 movie in the States because nothing's blown up..., and the book was faaaaaabulous!  I felt my brain and English vocab grow exponentially, and I thank Mama Dukes for sending me it!  We're gonna drink wine, maybe a chilled white zinfandel, don't judge me, OK fine, I need to get my estrogen on...and watch it when I return!!
You get what you give :)

I'm trying to learn new language, Chinese. So I'm interested in reading Chinese books. There is a Chinese student in my school, so I've just started Chinese!  :P

I've just finished "It's not me, it's you" by Jon Richardson and it was hilarious. Best comedian ever. But beware if you choose to read it in public places, you will laugh out loud.

Up next is "Mao's Last Dancer" by Li Cunxin. I've heard great things about it  :)

I've just finished reading a Salman Rushdie novel. That's three of his books I've read so far and they've been great.

I am slowly reading the book titled North Korea: Nothing to Envy.  I am finding it very interesting as the journalists follows up with several North Koreans (years later) who defected to South Korea.  She asks them what their lives were like before they came to South Korea.

Picked up a few classics at Bandi and Luni's a month ago. Still working my way through Ulysses now. What a trip! ;D
