well, i did it. i read the entire Harry Bosch universe series. all 35-odd books. the last few were some of the best in the whole series too (especially the new McEvoy one).

thinking about starting Pratchett's Discworld series next. thoughts? start from the beginning or..?

Excellent! That's a mighty feat. I'm only up to 'The Night Fire'. Number 20 odd. Although I have read a couple of other different ones as well.

I'm quite surprised how much I enjoyed them. Most are solid reads. I didn't even really get bored, and each book offers enough change the the overall story arc that it doesn't feel like a sitcom where nothing changes.

Some of the last few books are based around a new female cop, and I really enjoyed them, so make sure you don't skip them!

these Discworld books remind me a bit of Hitchhiker's Guide. quite surprised they seem to have passed me by, as i grew up reading HHGTTG. decided to start from the beginning, but i found a guide on reddit with a recommended reading order which i think i'll mostly follow. anyway, good stuff
