Costco Online

Rejoice everyone (with a membership)

Say goodbye to overpriced Gmarket resellers. The website might be a little clunky and machine translated, but hopefully it will improve with time. I for one am glad I don't have to fight with hundreds of other people anymore to get my fix of 1kg of almonds.

About the most wonderful thing in this country just got more wonderful...Costco Online!

The prices are only a few won above what you would get in the store, too!

Great job, Costco!

I have a US CostCo membership, and while I know it grants me access to the Korean CostCo stores, when I tried to register online it wouldn't let me...anyone in a similar situation?

A friend said you need a Samsung card to buy online.  I don't know if that applies to everyone shopping in Korea...  Might be a different issue entirely, not sure.

I've just tried registering with my existing Korean Costco card and details and i'm at the stage where you'd need to check your email for receipt of a link to click for confirmation. I'm still waiting for said email, it's been quite a bit of time. hopefully it works eventually.
Knowing what it feels like to be in pain, is exactly why we should try to be kind to others.

I have a Costco membership and I can drive 2 hours to the nearest Costco store from where I am. But I would only do that once every 2 months.

However if I want to shop online, how could I pay for the groceries?

Did you check out the prices?  Most things are double than in store.

For the things I usually buy, they are not. I frequent that store often enough to be able to compare and remember the prices.

The nearest Costco is a 20 minute drive so, either way is fine.

It's nice to see that it is finally up.

At first glance, it looks a bit sparse though.  The cat litter and other items aren't being sold online, so it looks like one will still have to visit the store for the HEAVY items. ;(

If they let me pay by credit card any card and they give the same prices as the store or maybe just a bit more if shipping is included, it could work well.  But will they block your membeship card from working properly if it's in Englishee?

OK belay that rejoicing, the site sucks.

You can only pay with Samsung Card, as per in store, or LG U+ Pay/Real time bank transfer... which proceeds to want to install crap-ware on your PC.

Sigh... I had high hopes, fingers crossed they do a Gmarket and have more reasonable ways to pay on the English version in the future.

I doubt they will. The US costco site has been around for a long time and they are really geared more towards business purchases than individual. There is a limited selection of fresh groceries on the US costco site and its mostly for bulk business order.

Here you go catman. Only a bit more than the store and you don't have to get your heals slammed.
