baggy jeans

where can i buy some baggy jeans?  All the jeans here in korea is skin tight and honestly its not my style.  Im looking jeans a little on the hip hop or baggy side.  Something a little loose fit. Ive tried gmarket and couldnt find anything

The old school kind of Americana look is popular among some Koreans these days, and that often means bigger jeans. The Levis original store in Myeung-dong has plenty but they can get pretty expensive/high end. Uniqlo has great bang for your buck but I doubt you'll find jeans baggy enough there.

I'm not even sure what hip hop style means... is that where you take a normal pair of jeans, then sag them below your butt, just wearing boxers, and then walk around like you shit your pants?

If you workout and have a good looking body, thin clothes actually compliment your masculinity more than baggy crap which hides your body. In other words, if you find skinny clothes here "girly," it may be time you thought about it a different way. Other than that I do agree that some of the fashion can sometimes come off as feminine here. But there's nothing wrong with being a little feminine either.

Baggy clothes also will make you stand out a lot more in this part of the world, some of the older folk will look at you like you are some thug, or just baggy jeans will make you look like a clown. At uniqlo there is a type of jean fabric that actually despite being narrow, stretches quite well and is comfortable. Look for it.

If you truly want baggy jeans, if you don't have access to the US military bases your best bet is to just order online.

I think you're jumping the gun. 'Comfort' isn't just about the softness of the fabric or it's breathability/warmth. The vast majority of men wish to appear masculine and wearing something that is preppy to the extreme (rather popular around Asia), appears feminine and makes the male wearer feel uncomfortable.
A good sized ladies handbag holds about the same volume as my briefcase, but I hope you understand why I'd never buy the former, no matter how 'in style' or on sale it is.

No offense OP but it's 2015, and baggy jeans aren't really part of hip hop style anymore, as rappers are definitely wearing much tighter pants. The days of Biggie and 2Pac are long gone. And it's true that male fashion trends here tend to be overtly preppy and feminine, but there are plenty of options if you don't want to dress like that.

Well should I follow the men's clothing style here than I would be walking down the street with my package clearly defined through the jeans...chances are I would be labeled a pervert for wearing skinny jeans by the Koreans. (and before anyone starts to take the piss, this isn't me stating that I am huge down there. I would say that most western men would probably have the same problem wearing the skinny jeans that the Korean men wear....)

Pretty sure the average Korean doesn't walk around with a magnifying glass.

I don't necessarily think that disliking a fashion is the same thing as equating it with "bad" (unless, you know, it's an SS uniform or something).
I tend to dislike most anything that smacks of "high fashion", but I understand that it's a "to each their own" kind of thing...(it's still stupid looking though!)

Well bight the bullet and buy some levi's.

Obviously if you are big, uniqlo won't work... I am not a big man, 125lbs, and I have to wear XL hoodies at uniqlo for them to fit.

For this reason alone I bought a bunch of levis for 20$ rather 200$ before I came back.

You could always find some guy who probably custom tailors jeans in Itaewon lol

It's a a struggle to get "regular" fit jeans here, let alone baggy jeans. Uniqlo's loose fit taper at the ankles, so end up looking like parachute pants

just go to itaewon man. should be some place there that sells baggy jeans.

i think some of you guys are a bit on the negative side or just misunderstanding what i wrote.  Im not talking about pants that im dragging down to my ankles.  Im just looking for jeans that dont look like theyve been spray painted on.   Thats seems to be the look of this generation here in korea and quite frankly its very uncomfortable and not my style.  Im looking for jeans with a little more room in them.

To clarify: unlike some other people here, I'm absolutely not suggesting OP wear any styles he's uncomfortable with or doesn't like.  Kyndo, there's a difference between not liking a style and simply saying, "I don't like tighter/skinnier jeans because they're uncomfortable," and saying that you don't like a certain style because it's feminine, as if being "more feminine" is a bad thing.  OP hates the fashion here because it's girly.  Not because it's uncomfortable or simply not his style.  Aristocrat no one is saying OP has to buy the feminine handbag, but there's also no reason to look upon with disdain/snub/put down who do choose to, regardless of whether they're guys or girls.  That was my point.  My comment about OP finding the kind of pants he wants based on comfort was serious--I don't think anyone should be forced to wear something they're uncomfortable in, either physically or mentally, because of fashion trends.

OP you may want to check thrift stores.  I know down in Gwangju I've seen looser straight-leg jeans in Tokyo Juice and Golden Vintage.  The Levi's 513's also might be a really good fit for you, as they're a looser yet still slim straight-cut jean.  They have just the right amount of fabric to look slim and polished without being physically uncomfortable.

I'm also a big advocate for purchasing fewer quality jeans over a larger quantity of cheap jeans.  I acknowledge the fact that not everyone will spend what I do on jeans, but I do think that any quality jean should cost you over $100USD.  Unless you're getting it marked down off season and on sale, and not at an outlet where they might have been sent due to quality-control flaws.  But I digress.  I used to buy cheaper $50-$60 jeans, but later found I was buying them nearly every 6mo because I wear them so hard every day.  When I bought my first $200 pair of jeans, despite daily wear the lasted me nearly 4 years, so the basically pay for themselves.  As a rule of thumb, anything over $120 and you're fairly golden and should get 2-3+ years out of them, depending on how brutal you are on them.

I buy online. From ebay maybe every two years I'll buy three or four pairs of levis bootcut if there're good deals on. They'll last me 2 or 3 years.
