Do Koreans accept baby gifts before the baby is born or is it considered bad luck?

I know it's unusual to buy clothes for baby before birth... but I think a cute accessory for baby couldn't hurt, right?
I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes-- until I met a man with no feet.

Just asked my CT and she said it's definitely not a problem.  In fact, she said it's even a good thing because it shows the mother someone is thinking about her during her pregnancy and is wanting to share in the excitement of her baby ^^

Edit: My CT is 28, if that matters.

Thank you nomadicmadda!   8)

The woman who is expecting is about 30 and it's her first child. I don't know if her age makes a difference. I know some cultures and religions only buy clothes after the baby is born, so I just don't want to offend them. ^^
