RANTING/VENTING MEGATHREAD

Mid term test period at my school usually means me digging other teachers out of the holes they've dug for themselves when making the questions (and dealing with complaints about grades).

"Um, The Arm, can you explain why this can't be the right answer"

"I think it's ok because it's grammatically correct"

"Yes but it's not the right answer for this question.  Can you explain why it can't be the right answer so I can explain it to the students"

I know how you feel. I end up having to add some vital context to his utterances and explain his sycophantic behaviour. I'm not sure it gets through though.

A teacher just walked over to the sink, turned on the water, and then left it running and walked out of the room.  Two other teachers were sitting near it got up and also left to go proctor midterms without giving it a second glance.  There weren't even any dishes or anything soaking it it, or things to wash down the sink.  WTF people?!

My girlfriend likes his videos, I have no idea why but I find that he sometimes sounds really annoying. Just can't put my finger on it.

He has a very strange intonation (and sometimes pronunciation) to his speech patterns.

Since it's mid-term time at middle schools I was expecting some sweet sweet deskwarming this week to catch up on... "lesson planning".

Turns out the way my schedule works at my two schools I miss out on all the free time at both places. I actually have to conduct classes, THE HORROR!

On Monday, after I tried to get my CT to explain the bizarre obsession with 'Mukbang',  she asked whether I knew 영국남자. I'd never heard of the guy and she showed me one of his videos... The Aegyo one.
You know that thing Koreans do, when the stare at your face as you sample their culture, and watch your reaction.
My face must have graphically expressed Dante's Divine Comedy, particularly the Inferno poem, of Dante's descent into the 9 circles of hell.

I share an office with 5 co workers. Suddenly everyone gets up, I look up expectantly....

"We are all going to Lotte Mart together to buy materials, not you, you don't need to come"

Ummmmm ok. Cos you know I wouldn't like to escape the boredom or anything

Yesterday all my teachers cleared out at 2PM because midterms were finished for the day.  My deskmate told me she messaged my main CT asking him if I could go home, because she thought I should go too.  She said his computer was still on and he should call or message me soon.

He never did. 

I don't have a problem with staying for my expected hours of course, but I felt lonely and forgotten haha.  ....

Aaaah that's shitty.

My teachers are actually super inclusive, so I can't really complain.  I think he had just already gone home and she didn't know.  Figured I was better safe than sorry and just stayed.  Today though he just came and told me I can go now if I want, but I'll finish up some work first (else I'll just be unproductive at home)

I feel like all our milestones have been reached. I'm now on topic by ranting about how empty my life is now.

Bla bla My life is so meaningless now that I bla bla finished all milestones. Bla bla I bet it's Korea's fault. Bla bla I wish the ajummas did more to help me with my bucket list. Bla bla I feel like kimchi is the reason for the mold in my washroom, and the cold mornings.
