If anyone is looking at getting out of the teaching game, a great job was posted in the job boards.

https://www.waygook.org/index.php?topic=126852.msg914771;topicseen#new

In China I've noticed a phenomenon that some expats are so desperate to not be English teachers that they'll accept really bad working conditions and salaries. They think they're avoiding the "loser ESL teacher" stereotype but the irony is that they make a lot less money often for a lot more work.

So I had some food delivered to my home, and the delivery guy kept looking at my shoe rack. Like for an abnormally long amount of time.

I have some Nike sneakers and a couple pairs of slippers, nothing unusual. A friend suggested he might've been looking for men's shoes to see if I lived alone, and that's ****** creepy if true.

No idea if that's actually a thing, but I'm gonna buy me a pair of big ol' man shoes to keep in my doorway, just in case.

Why not have the food left in front of your door? Why was your door open for an abnormal amount of time? Wouldn't you just take it and close your door? Were you fumbling and dropping 100 won coins to pay an extra fee? Chimp told me you wear shoe size 290's is that true?

1. A foot fetish?

2. The equivalent of peeking in the waygook's supermarket basket.

3. It doesn't take an "abnormally long amount of time" to notice no men's shoes, does it? This seems like an unlikely situ. But better be safe than sorry.

I wear size 13s and will be more than happy to send you some of my older shoes if you send me your exact address.  In fact, I can even hand deliver them.  Please post your details here as I refuse to read PMs after the VanIslander incident.  I'm still traumatized.

Delivery guy tries to be polite and avoid making a customer uncomfortable by avoiding eye contact and staring at a neutral spot while she spends an abnormally long amount of time receiving her food. Gets labelled creepy anyway

They never leave the food by the door, they ring and knock until I open the door, lol. It's just been quicker and easier for me to take it from them.

My door is open for the normal amount of time, but this guy was staring at my shoe rack for pretty much the entire time that the door was open. It wasn't just a glance, which would have been normal. Like he was on the lookout for my shoe rack, and he wouldn't take his eyes off of it once he found it, even while handing me my things. It was weird.

And I'm not an amateur, I prepay via the app.  >:(

Chimp wishes he knew my shoe size.

Excellent. They need to be extra smelly, too, full of manly man musk to scare away alleged creepers even from behind a closed door.

I don't know, I'd think neutral would be at the floor or even at his phone. This guy went out of his way to peer around me to stare at my shoe rack. I get delivery at least a couple of times a month for the last few years. NO ONE has ever done this.

Do creepy shit, get called creepy. :undecided:

Now that's inappropriate.  If you were two friends hanging out, it's funny.  On here, it's creepy and offensive.

He's even on his soapbox on Reddit calling for new teachers to refuse anything less than 2.5. Lmao, after this, teachers' wages are about to fall, not rise.
