Went out to Mountain Fishtail (Indian Restaurant in Cheonan, REALLY good. Highest rated resto in Cheonan on Tripadvisor haha).

For context, my GF and her daughter went to Thailand for Xmas. Daughter is 4.

So, we eat our food, Mutton tikka masala, paneer naan, basmati rice, all REALLY good. And I go up to pay. It's a bit busy and I'm standing around, waiting and the chef comes out.

 How was everything, Sir?

:police: Oh, man. Perfect. I love this place.

 Thank you very much, Sir.

In comes Dain (GF's daughter), walks right up to the chef.

 :-* *deepest bow ever* "Sawadeekah"

 :smiley: --->  :shocked: :lipsrsealed: :huh:

:police: --->

GF:  :blank:

The chef looked so confused. hahahahaha

Today was my last day of work here. Surprisingly sad. For the last year I've been counting down the days, but over the last month or so I've had misgivings and worried whether I'm doing the right thing or not for my family. That's obviously a natural fear of the unknown, what's to come, and I know if I stayed on I would be having feelings of intense remorse the 1st week of classes next semester. Still, after 7 years working at a job that was laughably relaxed and comfortable, where I was treated with respect and even today on my last day, shown sincere appreciation and gratitude for my work, I just feel sad.

I could so easily stay here. Relatively stable and well paid job, affordable housing, safe, convenient, comfortable. But my intuition has been screaming at me for at least 2 years to leave, I can't ignore it forever. So as the cliche goes, don't be sad that it's over, be happy that it happened at all.

Good luck with the next step Zola!

I understand the feelings you're having - I'm also having them.  I feel like I'll regret leaving, but I'll regret staying too. Heading into the unknown is an opportunity to grow at least, and if you feel like you made a mistake in leaving Korea you can always come back eh? Fighting!  8)

I thought the same thing when I saw that on the BBC App yesterday but the article went on to say that this wasn't even the first time it had been done.  It was first done apparently in 2006 and done several times since then.  Knowing CO2, he just made a spicier earth sandwich.

I have no idea why it made the news in any capacity.  But, since it did, no doubt an earth burger is right around the curvature of the earth.

Flying to Cambodia on Friday (via China) and my gf is understandably worried about the coronavirus.  I've read everything from "media overreaction" to "cancel your travel plans" and honestly the vids of hasmat-suited people boarding planes to check passengers has shaken me a little bit.

Cause to cancel?

So I kept seeing posts about a youtuber who had posted a vid claiming that his girlfriend had died in a car accident, and he wanted people to subscribe to his channel or whatever because it had been his girlfriend's dream for them to reach something like a million subscribers?

Not too sure of the fine details, but anyway, a lot of people called BS on it and did some investigative digging, which proved very quickly that his girlfriend was alive and well, and that the guy had lied to increase his viewership. Now this youtuber has apparently posted one of those cringy crying apology vids explaining why he'd lied.

I didn't bother watching any of it, but I still gotta wonder how anyone can lie about a loved one's death and think they can get away with it. This is like crackhead stupid.
