« on: April 18, 2011, 07:52:28 am »
Hello all, I am just very curious about hiring dates and i hope you guys can help me. Ive heard that the hiring dates for most public schools is august and april...is there any other times though? I was hired to a public school after coming here for a camp so my contract ends in september, which is past the august hiring period....can anyone help...know of a way to get around this? I really dont want to go home in order to come back! thanks!

EPIK have some late orientations that start in September, so you will have to check with them and see if the dates suit, I think some of the country school programmes may hire at slightly different times too.

If the position is funded by GEPIK sources, than there is no way around it.  If the position is funded by the city, like my position, than this stipulation is ignored.  You could consider working at a summer camp through a hagwon, university, or English village than going back to public in sept.
