E-2 medical test needs photos?
« on: March 20, 2015, 09:23:38 am »
Can't remember if I had to submit pictures the last time I got my medical check. I did a quick google search, but I didn't find any info on pictures being required when getting the E-2 medical test done. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

You need to bring a couple of passport photos with you for each medical test. It's annoying and ridiculous, but is standard.

Is it the standard 3.5x4.5cm?

It depends on the hospital.   Through it seems most need one.   Get your basic Korean ID photo size.  Push comes to show, the scissors will come out for a trim.  Good standard practice for many foreigners is when you get ID photos to keep the extras.   Many places like to get them from Immi to Driving Authority.
Please consider adding some info to your "Personal Text"  Like type of school, visa status, county of origin.  These little bits of info can help people help you.

Seems to be a new rule. It's always useful to have extra passport photos here, you never know when Koreans will suddebly require them.

Most subway stations have a photo booth somewhere. It's 10 000W for 8 photos and I always use "Passport Size." There's an English option on both of the ones I used as well. Try and look your best, I didn't.

I didn't need pictures for the medical test on renewing my e-2/ARC, just for the first time before I had an ARC.

Yeah, it's required on most documents in general here. Koreans have to do it too.

Anyplace; Emart, Homeplus, even Studios will give you ten pictures for around 15$.

Takes like 30 min. I prefer going to the Studio in the Marts so I can have decent lighting and they will touch up the photos if your face or hair decided not to be in the mood.
What you put into Korea, is what you will get out of Korea; it will not spoon feed you.
