can you read?

...if you're intrigued by this seemingly bizarre question, then read on, friends!

here's the jist: we want to start a book club and in order to have a club, one needs people. More specifically - YOU people.

Carol from Suncheon had the bright idea to start a book club. I, her trusty sidekick, am truly excitied about the idea, as I tear through books like a 13 year-old boy reading his first porn magazine.

Anyway, here's the dealio:

Our first book is called "The Girls" by Canadian author Lori Lansens. It is available from What The Book for about 20,000W

for a brief overview of the book go here:

suffice it to say that I think this book is gonna kick some serious arse.

while this selection is definitely estrogen-heavy, I think that having some male perspective on it would be wonderful, so guys: don't be shy!

if you're interested please leave a comment, or better yet, email me at vanessa_c_reid@yahoo.ca.
I think we'll start reading the book in november, so our first discussion would be mid-late november...

yours in bookiness,
vanessa

 Hi:

 Where will you meet?

ahoy!

the meeting place will vary, I'm assuming. The majority of people seem to be in Suncheon, but that means nothing! It would be cool if people took turns hosting, I think. Once we have a group together, we can decide on our first meeting place. Interested?

 Hello:

Thank you. Yes, I am interested, but Suncheon is too far from Mokpo to attend a book club. Sorry, but thank you.
