Large numbers of beginner level students
« on: February 28, 2015, 01:26:18 am »
In the last few weeks, my hagwon has opened four new classes for beginner level students, of various ages. I've been there for a few years, and I've never seen so many low level students enrol in such a short period of time.

A lot of the parents of our new students have specifically referenced the public school cutbacks in regards to native teachers. Has anyone else who works at a hagwon seen a large increase in beginner level students?

And the onslougt begins.

Starting my 5th year at the same public school. It's my last; I'm going home when it's done.

oh man gotta love it. the current government is instituting all these new laws to try curb expenditure on private education, but at the same time cutting NETs in public school which is now just serving to increase spending on private education. as if any moron couldn't have seen that coming a mile away.
