National Insurance and fractured arm
« on: November 16, 2014, 11:27:17 am »
Apologies if this was already asked, but a brief search hasn't answered my query + I'm tired of typing with one hand ;D

Is it true that the national insurance, which we all pay, only covers 'life threatening' related illnesses?

I fractured my arm, yesterday, and I'm going back to the hospital on Monday to find out if I need surgery or if the cast alone is fine. Does the national insurance cover this, or do I have to fork out my holiday savings?

Thanks

I broke my elbow in January and required surgery.

My insurance helped lessen the cost of my surgery, your national insurance should help cover part of it.

A hat tip to you, sir, that's reassuring.
