World Cup 2014

Apologies if there are countless topics about this already.

This is my World Cup Lesson.
I am using it for 1st and 2nd grades.

I borrowed another poster's post and changed it.
At the end of the ppt there is a chance for the students to predict who will win the World Cup. I gave them slips of paper and I hope to give one student a prize if they are correct with their prediction.

I have also uploaded a simple hidden flag country game. They like games like this a lot.

For the very low level classes, I used this hangman game that I found in another post.

The answers are 8 countries that are in this year's World Cup. Mexico, Brazil, Japan, etc.

Time permitting and depending on how good they are I also play them (torture them with) the Official World Cup song by Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez. There has been mixed reactions to this.

Thanks for this. Even my higher level students enjoyed the silliness of the hangman game. The flag reveal is a good one too.

Glad that people got use out of this.
Did you do the predictions part of the lesson too?
I'm really hoping Brazil don't win or I'll have to spend a fortune on presents/candy!
