Hi! So as the topic says- I start my third year in Korea pretty soon and I'm not exactly sure how the whole paying Korean taxes thing works? I tried going through some old threads but didn't really find what I was looking for.

Does Korea just automatically take out the taxes per month or do we have to file at the end of the year like we do in the States?
Does everyone actually save every single receipt for cash and card?

You only have to save them for cash. Or you can tell them you want to put your phone number into the card signing pad when using cash and it will track it. Your school should be taking out tax every month and then they (should) file it at the end of the term for you. (how much has been debated to death in one thread on here).

Use your card and it will track everything automatically and you can give a print out to your school from a website. (search this forum I forget the name)
