Paying Electric Bill in Convenience Stores
« on: April 30, 2014, 04:50:05 pm »
Hello everyone,

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I haven't found an answer searching. On the Kepco website it said I could pay my electric bill in convenience stores. So, I tried three different ones (GS25, 711, and another GS25) and they all turned me away.

Can you only pay at certain designated convenience stores?

I'd do a bank transfer online, but I can't figure out which account numbers belong to which bank on my bill. I can read Korean to a degree, but it hasn't helped me figure out which number belongs to which bank, and it would take forever to do a guessing game while trying to transfer.

Can anyone help me out?

You should be able to pay at any branch of those stores. I have no idea why they would turn  you away.

If you have the typical KEPCO bill than the numbers have the bank symbol next to them. Perhaps post a photo and we can help you decipher them. Paying them at the ATM is super easy.
