Introduction to England
«
on:
November 08, 2010, 10:34:42 am »
Hi,
just had to do an introductory lesson on England for all grades of my middle school classes. Had to include a brief history (impossible I know), culture, foods etc. I added some slides on the end about my life in England, friends, family, university/school etc and it seemed to go down well, especially funny photos of school/fancy dress etc! Thought I'd post this in case its of any use to anyone!

Wonderful work, thanks!
( I am going to have to do a little editing though: "it is often
wrongly
referred to as Great Britain." My bold. ^____^)

This is great! I'm American, but am doing a "Tour of the English-Speaking World" in my (high school) English camp coming up - this is way better than anything I could have done. Anybody have something similar for South Africa?! =P

@mroy_birdcap: Great update on the Powerpoint, but remember Britain is England, Wales and Scotland - if you include N. Ireland it's the United Kingdom :)

Great upload, thanks. I'm going to use this as broadcast fodder myself. A tour of the English speaking world would be a great idea...
