DENTIST... too cheap?
« on: April 20, 2014, 09:01:57 am »
Walked by a dental office with a sign in English. Went in and had a 10 minute conversation with the dentist in English. Everything seemed fine until I asked about the prices. They seem too low.

Cleaning/Scaling - 15,000 won with insurance; 50,000 without
Cavity (each) - 10,000 won with insurance; 30,000 without

What you have you guys paid in the past? For reference his office is in Incheon.

That's normal.  Also, the 15,000 for scaling is some new rule that passed last year.  It's 15,000 for the first time in a year, then increases for the second time in that year.

Guess I'm just used to being overcharged by the dental cartel back home. Thanks for the input.

the cavity is probably for the silver material..not the white material

He does white fillings for 50,000. I went in for a cleaning/scaling and he did a great job. Fast and professional.

Nice! I was actually just looking for an English speaking dentist in Incheon. Do you know the name of the office or have directions? Thanks a bunch!
