For the ladies: Hair Dye Supplies?
« on: April 10, 2014, 03:38:31 pm »
I've picked up a hair dye I can't wait to use but it does not come with a mixing bowl, cape, or most importantly a hair dye brush. And this stuff is MESSY.

I've asked co-teachers and they say Korean box dye sometimes has those things.

I've checked gmarket, the brush is upwards of 35,000W. Ebay, its 4 dollars but takes weeks and I have to deal with import charges.

I'm fine with using a random bowl and cutting a hole in a bag as a cape but I need a hair dye brush and I have no idea where to find one.

I am debating walking into a salon and asking if I can buy one off of them. All else fails, I'll wait on Ebay but I thought I would try here first.  Any advice or alternatives are appreciated.

I don't know where you live, but I've seen many beauty supply stores in my southern city. I'm pretty sure you could find what you're looking for! Look for the places that sell wigs.

I'm in Busan so you'd think it would be easy but no. I've tried an Olive Young and a Watsons. I'm going to check around Nampo this weekend but I am super surprised something so simple isn't easier to find and worse, its either crazy expensive or a long wait to get online. I'll keep looking, thanks!

Ooooh, or you know what? I've seen boxes of dye at Daiso. I have no idea what they come with, but I think they're like 3,000 won. Plus it's Daiso, you could probably just open the box up sneaky-like and take a peek.

I guess where I'm from it's straight up bizarre for a hair dye kit to come with anything but the dye and gloves. If you can use amazon I got a really cheap kit that came with a bowl and a bunch of brushes and combs for hair treatments. I've used it for things like keratin treatments and dye and I think it was 3USD.
