This worked pretty well, cards for go-fish are included.

i did this as a two part lesson.  on the first day i started by showing the music video to Michael Buble "Feeling Good" and then we played a game of cherades at the end of class.

on the second day i showed videos from http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/12/12/magazine/14actors.htmland asked the students to come up with a list of emotions for the different videos.  then in pairs i had them write a short two sentence situation and how it made the person feel for one of the videos...

sorry for typos or errors in my ppts. i did them both very quickly...

Here's my version, I based it on someone else's but I cannot remember who that was so i apologise for that. first we went through the emotions, then i got them to ask their friends what makes them happy, sad and scared before doing a quick worksheet and a pass the pencil game where they have to complete the sentences.
