Korean Peacekeepers Return Japanese Ammunition

The Korean peacekeeping forces in South Sudan have returned 10,000 rounds of ammunition to the Japanese base on Friday last week, according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The supply of ammunition by the Japanese, which had been arranged through headquarters of the UN mission in South Sudan, caused an uproar here because it was seen as fueling Japanese attempts to assert the right to collective self-defense, allowing Japanese troops to operate abroad in peacetime to defend an ally.

Ammunition supplied by the Korean military arrived in Juba, the capital, on Dec. 28, 2013, but due to instability in Bor, where the Korean forces are stationed, delivery was postponed.

The Korean military came in for criticism for failing to equip the peacekeepers with enough ammunition in advance.
There is no known medical cure for stupidity!

Just imagine if Japan had lent something that was worth more than a few thousand dollars.
