K-Pop Guessing Game
« on: November 28, 2013, 08:00:54 am »
This is a very simple game which went down very well with my high school students! It's all about K-pop (well, with 1 or 2 exceptions).

The rules for the game are all in the powerpoint. I have also attached the answer sheet.

I found that with most classes, they would not normally guess correctly until the 3rd clue was revealed, although the number of group members sometimes provides a big hint! (for example, very few groups have more than 9 people, as far as I know, so the answer is quite obvious!

Awesome work! Played the KPop slam with my grade 3 middle schoolers and it seems that is the most excited they've been since I started teaching them! They should love this too!!

Cheers!

From an activity standpoint, this was very successful.  Everyone was wondering what I was doing to keep the class engaged.

Personal notes:
The stampede to the television when Exo-k came on was terrifying to say the least. I didn't know who they were until today. Teenage girls.

The mob I went through when I was disconnecting.  The pleas of "No, teacher.  Just one more minute!"

Someone also creatively told me why the group 4-minute is named as such.
You are never guaranteed happiness, only the right to pursue it.  So, what are you waiting for?  Get going!

I just wanted to say thank-you for this great game! I teach at an all girls middle school, so needless to say, this kept the students thoroughly entertained. What more could a teacher ask for one day before vacation :P
