K-Pop Picture Challenge
« on: March 22, 2011, 09:59:45 am »
This is a presentation I put together for Winter camp to challenge and entertain the students. It could probably due with a few more images but I am not so fluent at K-Pop. The students enjoyed deciphering the pictures though.

I walked through the first picture with them as it is one of the trickier ones.

Very clever and cute! I will use it for time filler or warm ups.

Added the answers to the ppt. They'll show up when you click on the slide again.

For added oomph, I suggest finding recent pictures of each group and add it to the slide. Make it so it'll show after the kids get it. For a time killer, show the music videos of the songs in the ppt.
Before you create a thread, remember has a search engine! Please help keep the redundancy down. Do a little research of your own before making a thread in case the information is already available.

I work at an all-girl high school, so anything K-pop related is always welcome, especially for my lowest level students. Thanks.

Beeker--Great idea.

Jaunt--Here's my edit with pictures of the singers and short clips of the music videos.

1st, I tried to make sure that the groups had the correct up to date singers in the pictures, as many of the groups have singers that have left.  (I'm sure I could have failed on some of them).
2nd, all the clips are supposed to have the song's title within the clip.  It is pretty obvious except for 2ne1's "Clap your hands" which has them saying "박수쳐", which just means "clap your hands" in Korean.
3rd, I know that Girl's Generation's Chocolate Love is sped up.  I thought it was funny.  *shrug*
4th, all of the clips are from, and are the property of the respective artists, yada, yada, yada, so don't sell this PPT :)
5th, download the PPT and the clips into the same file (Hopefully, you won't have to relink them into the PPT)
6th, enjoy...
