My coteacher just taught me a simple phonics chant (no video): Big A, little a, eh-eh-eh,Apple, ant, eh-eh-ehBig B, little b, buh-buh-buh,Bear, bat, buh-buh-buhBig C, little c, kuh-kuh-kuh,Cow, coin, kuh-kuh-kuh.(etc.) There's a cute handout that goes with it, but I'd have to scan it in to share. I'll post it if I get the chance. It's also endlessly modifiable, since you can use whatever words you prefer. The fourth-graders seem to really like it! Dog, duckEgg, elephantFish, forkGoat, ghostHat, houseInk, IndianJet, jack-o-lanternKing, kiteLion, lemonMonkey, monsterNet, notebookOctopus, orangePink, pajamasQueen, questionRabbit, ringSun, SantaTiger, treeUmbrella, upside-downViolin, voiceWatch, waterXylophone, xylitolYesterday, yesZoo, zero
I found this yesterday while web snooping. All lyrics are sung to the tune of "Skip to My Lou." You may want to revamp some of the words but most of them work pretty well when I tried. Haven't inflicted it on my class yet but it gives you music to go with the "chant" as well as easy tongue twisters.** ants on the apple aaa## bat and ball bbb** colorful caterpillars ccc ** dolls dancing ddd ## dog digging ddd## enormous elephant eee** flies flying fff ## flippy floppy flower fff## gorgeous gorilla ggg## happy horse hhh## itchy insect iii## jumping jack (jack in the box) ## kind kangaroo kkk## lazy lizard lll** monkey munching mmm ## nice nest nnn** old orange octopus ## opera at the opera house ooo(opera style)** popcorn popping ppp ## quiet queen qqq## rusty robot rrr## slithering snake sss## ticklish turtle ttt** up umbrellas up uuu ## umbrella up or under umbrella uuu** violets in vases ## vacuum vacuuming vvv or veggies in the van vvv## wavy water ** ox on a box xxx ## yellow yak## zig zag zebra
