Just wait.  Someone will find it and call one of the Korean names you have listed and get your address and mail it back to you.  It's like magic.

Haha one can be hopeful.  Mine was returned to the bus driver last year when it fell out of my pocket. I was able to retrieve it at the bus station.  From what I know, most others aren't so lucky, especially if your phone is nice.

I imagine that you would not have to renew a new contract but would just have to replace the phone you lost.  A lot of people are selling their old phones these days because smart phones are so hot.

Ask your co-teacher?

I would try calling it and then, if someone answered, saying nothing but my address. I think the previous suggestion of asking your co-teacher is a wiser move, though.

I accidently washed my phone recently and was told I either break the contract, pay off what is left on the phone and resigned with a new contract..  Or I pay for repairs
Since option 1 applies to you, I would check and see the last time they resigned is.  If they havent resigned in ages, that you can get a new phone no problem.  Otherwise you need to pay for the leftovr amount on the contract to cancel it and begin a new one.

Any SK shop mate, they have loads of part exchange second hand phones behind the counter, a phone and simcard will be around, 30,000 - 50,000. It only takes a few minutes and your back in the game.

Hi Cowboy,

I lost my phone on the bus too.  You said that your phone was returned to the bus driver and you picked it up at the bus station?  Was it a bus in Seoul?  or Gyeonggi-do?  I'm trying to look for the main bus office for the Gyeonggi-do buses, and the site is all in Korean :(

Every contract is different, but I always get the "no-fault" insurance here. It's about 2,000-4,000 WON a month and covers everything on the phone. I have a HTC Evo and it's about 3,500 WON a month. It covers dust under the screen, water damage, dropping, and theft/loss. Other contracts are easier to break though and aren't worth it. A friend lost his and he only had to pay 40,000 WON. If I had to break my contract, I would be doomed lol.
