Western Breakfast - Bacon and Eggs - in Seoul or Ansan
« on: March 23, 2011, 10:00:20 am »
Heya folks.  I'm looking to locate somewhere that I can get my fix of bacon and eggs, hashbrowns (or taters) and toast for breakfast in the Seoul or Ansan areas.  Any assistance would be appreciated!

Cheers.

In Gangnam they have a place called Butterfinger Pancakes.  It's yummy and has a variety of western breakfast choices.  However, it is a bit expensive and the wait can be long on weekends but I still go.  Message me if you want directions.

Butterfinger Pancakes, oh my goodness, nom nom nom nom nom.  This place is really good, and you get a lot of food.  From a friend: "It's like Dennys  on steroids.... x10".  Maybe exaggerated, but thought it was pretty funny.

This place is awesome. I eat there almost every time I'm in Seoul. They serve breakfast all day. They even have good coffee. Try the breakfast burrito.

In Gangnam, there's a place called Big Rock Brewery.  They do brunch on Sunday from 11-2:30.  It's a buffet and costs 10,000.  It was excellent.  Coffee is included.  There's eggs, bacon, tots, lots of other yummy stuff and an omelet bar.  And it's not super busy like Butterfingers.

i'll 3rd Butterfingers--it's really not that expensive because they give you so much food you can get a few dishes for a group and it's amazing. SO GOOD

1) Butterfingers in Gangnam (you can google the directions and which exit...i'm not sure, but i think korea4expats has it on their site under best brunch places in seoul)

2) Garden Brown in Seoulleung, go out exit 8. go straight to the bus stop and take bus 07 (green shuttle bus). go 3 stops and get off at Platinum Apartment st. When you get off the street go right about 2 blocks, then turn left and it's about 1/2 block down on your left.

This is funny that you mention Ansan. There is a group that meets most Sundays for a Western Brunch in Ansan between Jungang Station and Gojan Station. Search of Facebook for "Western Brunch in Ansan."

Another one in Bundang area.  On a strip with a lot of slightly expensive good cafe's and breakfast places... near Jeongja station.  Not exactly Seoul, but thought I would throw it out there.
