Many sites have been blocked.  Download hotspot shield to get access to these sites.  I only turn it on when I need it and then turn it off bc it makes net a little slow.

It has been that way for me since Thursday =( I thought it was just my school blocking my usage, but I'm glad to hear it's not just me!

I believe it has to something to do with the radiation from the sun this whole week.  Recently, there were large bursts of flares from the sun, and that usually interferes with satellites, internet GPS etc.  Which explains why people from all regions of S.Korea and the world have the same issue.

Check it out:

Yeah its the same here!  >:(

The sites aren't loading .. like tvduck and sometimes facebook won't come up..

Its inconsistent though. Some sites will come up sometimes but not always...

Same, i think it started on thursday for me too.

Have you cleared the cache on your computer lately?  Download CC Cleaner from the Filehippo website and run that. Hope this helps you.

See if your work computer has a new security software installed called SGA-VC. It's been installed on all the Incheon teachers' computers. It seems to be the culprit...

I've done everything I could to my computer, but if everyone is having this problem, it could be anything. I'm in Incheon and searched for that security program, but I don't have it. Also, I don't think it has anything to do with that solar flare, as my internet at home is still the same. My co said it has something to do with the new school year, but I'm hesitant to believe that as it was not like this last year.

I have HotSpot Shield on my computer and I can access all the websites I couldn't access before, i.e. Hotmail, Facebook... so now I don't even know what the problem could be!

I've been having problems for a while now, and the internet seems to cut off several times a day. As Juicealicious said, it's only my work computer--it's fine at home. I don't have the new security software, either.

I know that tracking software can slow things down, so I wonder if they're keeping tabs on what we do online.

my internet at home is also ok. some websites work fine and load very easily, but others, like facebook, don't load at all now. or if they do, it works for 10 minutes and then stops again. i don't have that new security thing installed, and use my own computer from home. i can use proxies for some websites (like bbc), but for some reason i can't get proxies to work with facebook.

Just a note if you want to use HotSpot Shield, there are a lot of ads but if you have nothing else to do at work, it's definitely worth it.

I know that my whole office has been affected by this, not just me so I find it hard to believe they're keeping tabs on us. Plus, the guy who works on the computers for my school won't come in during Spring Break and this started last Thursday. On top of that, I know they're not blocking sites because in Incheon, when you go to a website the school board doesn't want you to go to, they're pretty blunt about it. Instead of the page loading, there's this huge white page and a warning in Korean from the school board about the site being blocked, lol...

Google HotSpot Shield and download it from another source, I think when I googled it, I downloaded it from the second or third link. The actual website won't work, but anything that mirrors the download will! If you want to download t.v. shows at work, google eztv and then go to the eztv.it website from there. For some reason, when you try to type in www.eztv.it it gets blocked, but through google, it works. Hope this helps!
