Getting CBC while in Korea
« on: November 27, 2012, 12:46:46 pm »
I'm just going to get the CBC and apostilled degree again. It seems easier that way with too many exceptions and different situations circulating.

Where would I get the form for my fingerprints? Could I just print it from the fbi website? If so, is regular paper fine or do I need card stock? If I need card stock, where would I find it in Korea? Or do the police stations have the forms for fingerprints here in Korea? If so, would they work for the CBC through the FBI? Also, I know I need to go to a gu police station but do they charge? Do I need to take a Korean with me or will they understand what I want?

Every Canadian probably thought you meant http://www.cbc.ca/

To be more helpful check http://www.koreahow.com/2010/12/korea-changes-e2-visa-process-fbi-background-check-how-to/

I think you can print the needed form and just go to the largest nearby police station.

It might be a good idea to get more than one set of prints to make sure they are up the the required standards.

http://www.fingerscan.ca/fbi-clearance/ this site shows what acceptable prints would look like I think.

Good luck.

Shoot, I'm American, but I thought of Canadian Broadcasting first. I miss being able to catch the odd curling tournament on tv.
