Holi festival
« on: August 24, 2012, 06:53:07 pm »
A festival called Holi has been celebrating by the indian people. The festival is for for proving their integrity by knotting a thread on the wrist of an opposite gender which means they accept them as brothers and sisters.

Holi is celebrated in the spring and raksha bandhan (the festival where brothers and sisters (or friends/family members of the opposite gender) tie the thread around each other's wrists) was in early August this year. I'm curious where in India or in what communities do people involve rahki as part of the holi festival?
