Laser hair removal in Korea?
« on: January 12, 2011, 11:14:52 am »
Guys

Such an awkward question but does anyone know of reliable laser hair removal clinics in South Korea? I don't want to ask my co-teachers this question if I can avoid it.

Thanks

C

I'm getting a tattoo removed at Teng Teng Skin Clinic. The doctor went to medical school in America and speaks perfectly. I know they also do hair removal -

I forgot to ask if you have any contact details for these laser clinics so that I can find them and ask them how much they charge? Thank you.

Dr. Sung's Obstetrics and Gynecology

2 floor, Hyundai Building
Hannam-dong
Yongsan-Gu
Seoul 140-210

This is right on the corner of 5-dae-ro (oh-dae-ro) and from Itaewon, it's about a 2-3,000 won taxi ride. It's very close to Hannam market.

The nearest subway stop is Hannam, but it will take you 15-20 minutes to walk there, at least. It's on the dark blue line, line number 1. The taxi's the best way to go, in my opinion. The Hyundai building is pretty obvious, right on the corner, and there's a Seattle's Best coffee on the first floor.

Anyone have experience with this here? I"ve never done it, have been looking into it and found a couple of doctors in Seoul. Does anyone know of a doctor that has done a particularly good job? Or have you gone through laser hair removal?

I went to Wynn in Apjeongon.  They seemed cheap and after three treatments, I'm hardly shaving.

Hey, there is a clinic called Mona Lisa clinic in Haundae, the doctor speaks decent English and the head nurse "Kate" speaks English well.  The staff are very friendly.  I went for my first removal the other day, so I can't tell you about the results as of yet, but it seems they did a good job!

60,000 for 6 underarm treatments.  I think bikini was going to be about 140,000 and maybe 500,000 for calves?  I can't remember.  You should call and ask.

LoloRising- of course! I'd be more than happy to keep you updated on how it goes...it's 50,000W for 5 treatments.  If you need the number of the head nurse just let me know, I'd be more than happy to give it to you just in case you wanna call her and ask her more questions!  They said after 5 treatments that should be enough for hair to stop growing back.  It's not 100% guaranteed but at least you can always get more treatments and have LESS hair  ;)
