My co-teacher told me that there's gonna be a fire drill at 2pm and to ignore it then I asked what I do you in case there's a REAL fire... she just laughed and walked out.

Not really a comment but one time I was playing pictionary with my students and just to spice things up I asked my co teacher to draw so that the students can guess her drawings... with a smirk on her face she flipped me off in front of the whole class... I was petrified for a while and Im still confused if the middle finger is bad or if nobody cares in Korea...

Talking to one of my 5th graders during an after school class.  He's a heavy set kid, long hair, with black framed glasses.

Me: So why did you choose the name Jimmy?
Student: (pauses) it's cute...

ahaha. i love these kids!

My one co-teacher keeps excusing her english ability and has even gone as far one day as to mention the word Konglish. I told her that yes, Korea is developing its own dialect, just like nay other country and that its ok.
The term "konglish" goes back more than a decade.  In China, It's "Chinglish".  My question is - is it "Janglish" in Japan?

I believe it's "Engrish" but that may just refer to the prolific incorrect and often hilarious English written on t-shirts and in public spaces.

With a very serious face CT says, "You should not drink the nuclear rain today."

With a very serious face I say, "Oh, ok.  I won't, thanks."

The kind thought almost trumps the comedy.

My 부장님 (Head Teacher) told me, "I want to service you."

Then he grabbed my hand and threw me into his car...

For some reason I couldn't stop laughing when I read this. I feel like my VP would say something like that!

Between a dentist and my friend Kasey:

Kasey: "Uhm, novacaine?  Drugs?"
Dentist: "No.  No drugs.  Close eyes, make happy dreams."

and

Kasey was having a teeth cleaning...

Dentist: "Don't move head - razers"  (lasers)

Wow, I guess I'm lucky that they call me Beckham. I'll take half the talent for 10 times the looks.  ;D

I made my point with it on a powerpoint. I was teaching "My favourite ... is ..." so I put up "My favourite football player is Wayne Rooney," followed by a doctored (obvioulsy) photo of Shrek in a Utd shirt.

I have had many comments about my size and 'my size' from the teachers i sit with at lunch. A couple have said 'Big Boy' a few times including the 2 ladies. My main Co-teacher just laughs at me and says 'oh! he is blushing.'

the best i've gotten is one day, i was exhausted and i litterally did not pay attention to what i was putting on, threw my hair in a messy ponytail and a plain headband to help control the flyaways...
every single person i met said how sexy/beautiful/pretty i look, being nice or true?
