Adult ESL Converstion Lessons
« on: April 25, 2012, 07:41:51 am »
Here is a 195 page doc from BYU for converstions for adults.  Takes a while to look through but there is tons of stuff.

MOD EDIT: This link is no longer active, but another helpful user 'wantsomecoffee' has provided an updated link below (front page). They have also uploaded the file as a pdf! -gagevt

Wow, that's insane. There's a ton of material here. Just curious, where did you come across this? Was it just a free resource online?

Thanks for the pdf.  It should be a useful reference for teaching a few of those topics to my coworkers.

I used to do advanced conversation classes and I made my own lessons using news articles.
One day I was bored so I made a website and put them all on it, so for anyone who's interested here it is

I'm supposed to be starting a class for the teachers at my school this semester and this should give me a great head start.  Thanks!

Another simple site for finding articles that have both English and Korean is "Korea Times" (http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/index.asp). Here you will be able to find current articles. Just roam around the site. There are tons of interesting news articles that can be used for any numbers of topics. Best of luck! :)

Just wanted to add my thanks for all the links. I've got a weekly adult class and while it's only 2 students I always feel more nervous with them than with any of my Middle School kids so these will really help  ;D
