Great Hostels to Stay in Korea?
« on: March 07, 2012, 01:55:43 pm »
I am particularly looking for a good place to stay in Seoul, but I think this post can extend to all cities in Korea. Anyone know of a good, cheap for the quality hostel to stay in Seoul? Foreigner friendly as well.

I've stayed at Yellow Submarine in the Hongdae area of Seoul a few times. They have two now, I think. It's a good location near the subway, shops, restaurants, bars, etc.. and a dorm is around 20,000 won, so the price is decent. The staff is very welcoming

I've stayed at Bibim House in Hongdae, a 10 minute walk from the subway.  The owner, Konda, is incredibly nice,  fluent in English and picks you up at the subway when you arrive.   He went on a backpacking trip in Europe a few years ago, so he knows the hostel system and how to make travelers feel welcome. It is not a huge place, but it was quite clean, had computers and wi-fi as well as free breakfast.
