Just saw "Moneyball" and "There will be blood." My girlfriend wasn't particularly interested in either of them but I thought Moneyball was good in that I really wanted Beane to make it. There will be blood left me with a "what the hell" response. It wasn't bad but it wasn't clear what the point of the ensemble was.

i've already bought my tickets for "skyfall" tomorrow, so i'm preparing by re-watching "casino royale" and "quantum of solace". daniel craig is an excellent bond, though not as playful as roger moore was.

I disagree.

Daniel Craig is empty of personality, charm, whatever. He's so 'BLAH' to me.

Just saw 'The Campaign'. LOVED it. Two of my fav actors. Great chemistry. Loved the over-the-top humour. Almost ** my pants. Almost as funny as 21 Jumpstreet.

His personality is he's going to steal your woman and kick your a**.
Brosnan was by far the worst.

i saw "skyfall" tonight, and it was superb. the first forty minutes, or so are spectacular. the middle sags a bit, but it ends fantasically. much better than "quantum of solace" (which i didn't mind because both times that i have seen it as been right after watching "casino royale", since they are directly connected to each other).

I saw Skyfall last night. I thought it was alright but nothing spectacular. Maybe it was just hyped up way too much by my friends or maybe it's just because I've never been a huge Bond fan, but it just wasn't as amazing as it was proclaimed to be. The only time I ever loved Bond was when I would play Golden Eye on the N64 with my brother and he would up my handicap so I had a fighting chance... think I won once!

Some old school ones like The Goonies, The Sandlot and The Princess Bride. Also some newish ones like Real Steel, Snow White and the Huntsman, The Backup Plan.

The Campaign.

lmao

i'm going to watch that this week. i'm looking forward to it!

meanwhile, i'm continuing my decimation of the "alien anthology" blu-ray boxset... i did "alien 3" last night. it was not good. the story wasn't there, and it seemed rushed and hurried. i'm going through the documentary about the production now.

whatever movies that have the most seeds on piratebay.org with at least a 7 rating on imdb.

safety not guaranteed was pretty good.  had some of my favorite characters from the league, parks and rec, and the new girl.

madagascar 3 was really good.  ice age 4 kinda sucked.  the dictator was hilarious.  seeking a friend for the end of the world was pretty okay.  moonrise kingdom was good in a quirky way.  the campaign was alright, not a big fan.  had it's moments, but in the end, it was kinda meh.

Ooh, I like your technique. I'll have to give that one a try. I look at 'Best of..' or 'Top [number][Genre] of [Year]' (eg Top 20 Comedies of 2006) and double check on IMDB. D/l speeds have almost always been fast or very fast, and I usually get 3/4 at a time so at least one will be watchable in 10-20 minutes.
It's nice to be important but more important to be nice.

I saw The Turin Horse.
It's really repetitive and bleak.
It's also probably one of if not the best film that I have seen in a very long time.
Bela Tarr is a genius.

I really enjoyed Looper. It has great action scenes, actors and a pretty interesting storyline.
I watched Safety not Guaranteed the other day and wasn't wowed by it. It was pretty good but I wasn't very convinced by Aubrey Plaza. Her character was too similar to April in Parks and Rec. and I couldn't really get past that.

I would highly recommend Jiro dreams of sushi. It's a visually stunning documentary! Very human and touching at times without being too sentimental. Watch it!   ;D
